Patty Callender received her Masters Degrees in Music Performance, specializing in Percussion, and in Music Education from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Patty earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Music at Lawrence University in Wisconsin. She holds a State of Florida teaching certificate and is also certified in both Orff-Schulwerk and Kodaly methods of music instruction. She began her teaching career as an early childhood music specialist at the Peabody Conservatory Preparatory School in Baltimore, and her teaching experiences have included inner city Chicago public schools to Tallahassee private school in the areas of early childhood, elementary, middle school and high school classroom, vocal and instrumental music. Currently Patty is the classroom music specialist for pre-K through 8th grade at Cornerstone Learning Community in Tallahassee, Florida. She is married to Florida State University, School of Music - Theory & Composition - faculty, Dr. Clifton Callender. In addition to Patty's experience teaching both Musikgarten and Kindermusik classes, Patty has participated in both of these programs as the proud mother of two adorable sons!

 Pete Hoesing teaches a variety of instruments and ensembles, including drums, percussion, piano, voice and Glee for Music Lessons Express throughout his days, also spending mornings in their studio office.  Having a PhD. in Musicology from The Florida State University College of Music, he's also taught an African Music and Dance Ensemble and played in numerous world music ensembles as well as travelling to Africa to study and learn about ritual music and movement.  He is an especially versatile teacher of hand, stick and mallet techniques for drums and percussion.  Pete is the proud papa of an adorable baby boy, and his wife, aslo a musician, works locally with the State of Florida.  Pete is a student favorite and very versatile teacher.  He enjoys teaching students of all ages and all skill levels, and is very excited about teaching and learning more about Musikgarten's exceptional early childhood curriculum while bringing his own unique talents as well.

Noemi Perez-Silva is a second year Masters student at the Florida State University studying Arts Administration. She is also an actively performing singer. Before moving to Tallahassee, Noemi lived in Tampa, where she taught elementary and middle school music for five years while also running her own private studio. In addition, she performed with Opera Tampa, the St. Petersburg Opera and the Spanish Lyric Theater. Last spring, Noemi joined Music Lessons Express as a social media and marketing intern (and general technology guru) as well as teaching private piano and preschool music classes. This year, she teaches drumming, Glee, group guitar, group piano, group strings in addition to private piano and guitar lessons. Noemi loves little ones and is excited about bringing her talents to Musikgarten and spending time with Tallahassee families and their children!

Cindy Huffman received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC and her Masters Degree from The Florida State University. As an undergraduate, Cindy studied classical voice & piano and was a Trustees Honors Scholar for academic achievement. While living in South Carolina, Cindy performed with the Spartanburg Symphony Chorus and the Limestone College Madrigal Theatre, also teaching piano with Limestone College’s Academy of the Arts. She also started her own private piano studio in her home before relocating to Tallahassee. After completing graduate studies, Cindy worked professionally in statewide Adult Literacy and Correctional Education programs. Once a mom, Cindy decided to become certified in Musikgarten and founded Musikgarten of Tallahassee which grew from a group of friends gathering in her living room to a program with 2 teachers & 3 locations! Cindy maintains her love of music & singing by performing with the Tallahassee Community Chorus and served on their Board of Directors for several years. Cindy enjoys bringing the joy of early childhood music and the exceptional quality of the Musikgarten curriculum to Tallahassee families, and continues to be inspired by the littlest Tallahassee musicians every day!
